Whole House in Wiesen with Extensive Garden and Extensive View

This is a generous and very cosy wooden house with an extensive garden, surrounded by forests and therefore nestled into the beautiful nature of the Eifel. It is on the edge of a tranquil residential area with individual single-family houses, to the south of Hellenthal, not far from the German-Belgian border. Owing to the location near the Burgen hiking trail, you can go on extensive hikes, mountain bike or motorbike tours to the nearby Reifferscheid and Wildenburg castles. The virtually pristine nature offers a lot for children to explore.
Very comfortable wooden chalet with an additional residential unit for a holiday together, quietly situated in nature with a panoramic view

The balcony outside on the second floor, the roof terrace on the first floor and a terrace in front of the lower residential unit invite you outdoors. You can therefore enjoy the extensive view on every floor of the treetops of the mountainous surroundings. A grill is available. Children can play in the garden on the 1600m² site. The villa has a very nice outdoor sauna (additional costs can be incurred for electricity), an outdoor whirlpool (for 4 people all year round) and a heated outdoor shower all year round. The energy costs of the whirlpool are calculated at a flat rate. The energy costs of the hot tub will be charged at a flat rate.

The well-presented house was newly renovated in 2016 and provides 300m² of living space on three floors. While the first and second floors form a shared, fully-equipped residential unit, the ground floor is an independent apartment accessed from outside. Here the whole house is offered, combining both residential units. In total these provide five double bedrooms, an adjoining children’s room with a bunk bed, two well-equipped kitchens, two living and dining rooms each with a cosy biofire stove, a generous bathroom, a shower room with an infrared cabin and two guest WCs. A flatscreen TV with a satellite receiver, a radiator or underfloor heating in all rooms, free wireless Internet access, a washing machine, bedlinen are included, and towels can be provided on request for a fee. On arrival all beds are made and there is a towel (size 50 x 100 cm) for every guest. The upper residential unit the wooden chalet, is clad entirely with round logs, so nature is truly brought into the home. As described above, the interior comprises a first floor that is accessed from outside, with the communal rooms such as the generous living and dining room, the separate kitchen, a guest WC and the stairs up to the second floor, which has sloped ceilings under the roof and provides three bedrooms, the children’s room and the bathroom. The bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed (180 x 200cm) and a wardrobe. The first bedroom opens onto a balcony and provides access to the children’s room with a bunk bed (90 x 200cm). The bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, a corner bath, a washbasin and a WC. You can sit at the solid dining table in the living room on eight high-backed leather chairs for meals together. You go past the biofire stove to a comfortable sofa suite, with a flatscreen TV with a satellite receiver for entertainment in the evening. The owners decide personally whether to accept group enquiries. The villa is not suitable for stag dos, bowling tours etc. The lower residential unit is simpler with a modern country style. The flooring is tiled throughout and is pleasantly heated with underfloor heating. The layout comprises two bedrooms with double beds (180x 200cm) and wardrobes, a living room with a dining table and an adjoining semi-open kitchen, a guest WC and a shower room with an infrared cabin for two people. There is also a solid dining table for four people by the biofire stove. The spacious kitchen is a highlight, with everything amateur cooks could wish for: generous worktops, a fridge-freezer, a stove with a ceramic hob and an oven, a dishwasher, a washing machine and the usual small electrical appliances such as a coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. The kitchen in the wooden chalet is also equipped for convenient and comprehensive self-catering. The shower room has a walk-in shower with a glass screen, a WC and a washbasin. This bathroom also has an integrated infrared cabin.

Owing to the location of the house amidst nature, the nearest local shops (Netto, bakery, butcher) are about 3km away. A local butcher passes the house on Wednesdays around 10.30. There are cafes and restaurants within 1.5km. In this area below Burg Reifferscheid there are also ATMs and shops. In winter many nearby mountain hiking trails and meadows invite you to go sledging. Trip destinations include Burg Reifferscheid (2km), the Wildenburg (2km), the bird of prey sanctuary Hellenthal (8km). It is also worth visiting the medieval old town of Monschau (28km), as well as Aachen (57km) or the Wallonian capital Liege (90 km). It is worth going on walks and trips in the picturesque nature in any season.

Die Kinder hatten ihre Spaß am Kickern und die Erwachsenen am Kamin. Die Schlüsselübergabe und das Bereitstellen von Holz war reibungslos und unkompliziert. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt!”
